General Information

We provide just about everything you need for your vacation, including fly fishing gear, and our logistics are simple. This an easy to plan, hassle free, river vacation. Planning Your Trip has essential information about our Middle Fork Salmon rafting trips, including travel and lodging suggestions, what to bring and other helpful details.

Water and safety concerns sometimes require that we launch our Middle Fork trips from the airstrip at Indian or Thomas Creek, necessitating a flight from Stanley the morning of departure. The cost (about $125) of the charter flight from Stanley is not included in our trip fare. Trips that meet in Boise require a flight to a landing strip next to the Middle Fork on the morning of departure. That flight is included in the trip fare. The return flight is not included.

Camping on our trips is spectacular and comfortable. Our trip gear boat travels ahead of our group and camp is set up before our arrival. Even if you've never camped before, you'll be very comfortable and marvel at the delicious meals our crew prepares. Most trips are six-days, just long enough to introduce you to many of the special sites along the river. Even though we have been outfitting here since 1978, We are still discovering magical places with our guests on every trip.

Middle Fork Salmon Kayaking

On a typical Middle Fork Salmon trip we use participatory paddle rafts, oar boats perfect for fly fishing, a fleet of inflatable kayaks, and a very large gear boat that travels ahead of our group with camp supplies. With advance arrangement, we can accommodate boaters who wish to bring their own raft or kayak.
